Ehud Ben Gera Apr 2025
The story of Ehud Ben Gera uses a variation of the Chinese dragon-scale format adapted into a hardcover book. The story follows a clear “there and back again” structure: as the book is flipped from right to left, the reader moves through the first half of the narrative on the left-facing pages, leading up to the moment Ehud kills the king.At that point, the book is reversed and read again from right to left, this time revealing the pages that previously faced away from the reader. This second sequence represents the journey back. The format highlights the directional themes in the story itself — especially its emphasis on left and right — while turning the physical act of reading into part of the narrative.
